“If the people were to ever find out what we have done, we would be chased down the streets and lynched.” — George H. W. Bush, cited in the June, 1992 Sarah McClendon Newsletter
The Bush clan traces its ancestry back to auld England. Their roots go back to King Henry III and George Bush is a thirteenth cousin, twice removed, of Queen Elizabeth II.
Ancestors to Presidents: George Washington, John Adams, Franklin Pierce, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James Garfield, Grover Cleveland, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Barack Obama
NOTE: George W. Bush, the 43rd U.S. president, and Barack Obama, the 44th president, are 11th cousins through Samuel and Sarah Soole Hinckley of 17th-century Massachusetts.
1676–1732: Richard Bush is the earliest known patrilineal member of the Bush family
1728–1821: Timothy Bush may have been the son of Richard Bush
1761–1850: Timothy Bush, Jr. was the son of Timothy Bush
1797–1851: Obadiah Newcomb Bush was the son of blacksmith Timothy Bush, Jr.
1825–1889: James Smith Bush, an Episcopalian minister who converted to Unitarian, was the son of Obadiah Bush
NOTE: Yale University – James Smith Bush (class of 1844), uncle Robert E. Sheldon Jr (class of 1904), Skull & Bones secret society – Prescott Sheldon Bush (class of 1917), George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush.
Antony C. Sutton, in his book, America’s Secret Establishment, writes as follows on the ultra-secret Skull & Bones society: Those on the inside know it as The Order. Others have known it for more than 150 years as Chapter 322 of a German secret society.
Samuel Prescott Bush
1863-1948: Samuel P. Bush, son of James Smith Bush, and father of Prescott Sheldon Bush, grandfather to George Herbert Walker Bush, great-grandfather to George Walker Bush
1901: Samuel P. Bush becomes the General Manager of Buckeye Steel Castings Company, which manufactured railway parts. The company was run by Frank Rockefeller, the brother of oil magnate John D. Rockefeller, and among its clients were the railroads controlled by E. H. Harriman.
1918: following the U.S. entry into World War I, Samuel P. Bush was given a sinecure on the U.S. War Industries Board as Director of the Facilities Division under Bernard Baruch (adviser to Woodrow Wilson) and Clarence Dillon, a Wall Street private banker. Bush’s principal mission was to direct arms sales to Remington Arms, owned by Percy Rockefeller (John D Rockefeller’s brother) and run by Rockefeller’s man, Samuel Pryor.
NOTE: During World War I, the board members amassed fortunes selling the weapons and materials of war not only to America but also to Germany. This group became widely known as the “Merchants of Death.” Most of the records and correspondence pertaining to Samuel P. Bush’s activities on the War Industries Board were later burned mysteriously, “to save space” in the National Archives. He also served on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
Prescott Sheldon Bush
May 15, 1895 – October 8, 1972: Prescott Sheldon Bush, son of Samuel P. Bush, was a Wall Street executive banker.
August 8, 1918: the following item appeared on the front page of Prescott Bush’s home-town newspaper: High Military Honors Conferred on Capt. Bush, For Notable Gallantry, When Leading Allied Commanders Were Endangered, Local Man is Awarded French, English and U.S. Crosses. International Honors, perhaps unprecedented in the life of an American soldier, have been conferred upon Captain Prescott Sheldon Bush, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.P. Bush of Columbus. (Bush was to receive the Cross of the Legion of Honor, Victoria Cross, and the Distinguished Service Cross).
NOTE: The story read that three allied leaders, General Ferdinand Foch, Sir Douglas Haig and General John J. Pershing were making an inspection of American positions. Pershing had sent for Captain Prescott Bush to guide them about one sector. Suddenly, Bush noticed a shell coming directly for them. He shouted a warning, suddenly drew his bolo knife, stuck it up as he would a ball bat, and parried the blow, causing the shell to glance off to the right.
September 5, 1918: Box appears on the front page of the Editor State Journal: A cable received from my son, Prescott S. Bush, brings word that he has not been decorated, as
published in the papers a month ago. He feels dreadfully troubled that a letter, written in a spirit of fun, should have been misinterpreted. He says he is no hero and asks me to make
explanations. I will appreciate your kindness in publishing this letter. Flora Sheldon Bush. Columbus, OH
August 6, 1921: Prescott Bush married Dorothy Walker. She was the daughter of George Herbert Walker. George Herbert Walker was a wealthy American banker and businessman. He formed a private bank with Averill and “Bunny” Harriman, and Percy Rockefeller; that bank was called W.A. Harriman & Co. Walker was a director of the W.A. Harriman & Company; Harriman Fifteen, American International Corporation; Georgian Manganese Corporation; Barnsdall Corporation; American Ship & Commerce Corporation; G.H. Walker & Company; Missouri Pacific Railroad; Laclede Gas and the New Orleans, Texas and Mexico Railroad; and the Union Banking Corporation.
August 4, 1924: the Union Banking Corporation was founded with offices at 39 Broadway in New York City. Prescott Bush was a founding member of the bank, incorporation documents list him as one of seven directors.
1926: George Herbert Walker made his son-in-law, Prescott Bush, vice president of W.A. Harriman & Co.
1930s: Connections to Germany were made through Allen Dulles’s firm of Sullivan and Cromwell because they supported Fascism. The Dulles brothers, who were in it for profit more than ideology, arranged American investments in Nazi Germany to ensure that their clients did well out of the German economic recovery. Sullivan & Cromwell was not the only firm engaged in funding Germany, Brown Brothers, Harriman was another bank that specialized in investments in Germany. The key figure was Averill Harriman.
1930-31: W.A. Harriman & Co. merged with the Anglo-American investment house, Brown Brothers, to create Brown Brothers Harriman. Prescott Bush and two Harriman brothers were made senior partners.
1930s: Brown Brothers Harriman, which claimed to be the world’s largest private investment bank, acted as a US base for the German industrialist, Fritz Thyssen. Brown Brothers Harriman and the Union Banking Corporation bought and shipped millions of dollars of gold, fuel, steel, coal and US treasury bonds to Germany, both feeding and financing Hitler’s build-up to war. Between 1931 and 1933, Union Banking Corporation bought more than $8,000,000 worth of gold, of which $3,000,000 was shipped abroad. After Union Banking Corporation was set up, it transferred $2,000,000 to Brown Brothers Harriman accounts.
July 1933 – September of 1934: Prescott Bush was part of a group that tried to violently overthrow the U.S. government and President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and implement a fascist dictatorship based around the ideology of Mussolini and Hitler. The plot was called The Business Plot (Wall Street Putsch). Money was funneled thru the Prescott Bush-led Union Banking Corporation to the American Liberty League. The plotters bragged about Bush’s Hitler connections and even claimed that Germany had promised Bush that it would provide material for the coup d’état.
1934: George Hebert Walker set up a deal to take over the North American operations of the Hamburg-Amerika Line, a cover for I.G. Farben’s Nazi espionage unit in the United States. The shipping line smuggled in German agents, propaganda, and money for bribing American politicians to see things Hitler’s way. The holding company was Walker’s American Shipping & Commerce, which shared the offices at 39 Broadway with Union Banking. Harriman’s stock in American Shipping & Commerce was controlled by yet another holding company, the Harriman Fifteen Corporation, run out of Walker’s office. The directors of this company were Averill Harriman, George Hebert Walker, and Prescott Bush.
November 24th, 1934: Marine Corp Major General Smedley Butler testified to the McCormack-Dickstein Committee that from July 1933 to September of 1934 he was petitioned by Gerald C. MacGuire to lead a coup, promising him an army of 500,000 men for a march on Washington, D.C., and financial backing. A private army of World War 1 veterans were to overthrow American democratic rule and establish a fascist government in the White House. The New York Times Headline on Nov 24th 1934 read: “Gen. Butler Bares ‘Fascist Plot’ To Seize Government by Force; Says Bond Salesman, as Representative of Wall St. Group, Asked Him to Lead Army of 500,000 in March on Capital — Those Named Make Angry Denials” The McCormack-Dickstein Committee called only one witness, Gerald MacGuire. No prosecutions or further investigations followed.
NOTE: Butler told of a plot headed by a group of wealthy businessmen, called The American Liberty League; an American political organization formed in 1934, primarily by conservative Democrats to oppose the New Deal of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The League was headed by the DuPonts and J.P. Morgan, and had major support from Andrew Mellon Associates, Pew (Sun Oil), Rockefeller Associates, E.F. Hutton Associates, U.S. Steel, General Motors, Chase, Standard Oil, Goodyear, Heinz and the Warburg banking family. Virtually all of them were founding members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Butler’s story was corroborated by VFW head James E. Van Zandt, who also said he was approached to lead the coup.
1935: The Fellowship, also known as The Family, and the International Foundation is a U.S.-based religious and political organization founded by Abraham Vereide. The stated purpose of the Fellowship is to provide a fellowship forum for decision makers to share in Bible studies, prayer meetings, worship experiences and to experience spiritual affirmation and support, The organization has been described as one of the most politically well-connected ministries in the United States. The Fellowship shuns publicity and its members share a vow of secrecy, The Fellowship’s leader Doug Coe and others have explained the organization’s desire for secrecy by citing biblical admonitions against public displays of good works, insisting they would not be able to tackle diplomatically sensitive missions if they drew public attention. Although the organization is secretive, it holds one regular public event each year, the National Prayer Breakfast held in Washington, D.C. Every sitting United States president since President Dwight D. Eisenhower, including President Barack Obama, has participated in at least one National Prayer Breakfast during his term. https://michaelruark.wordpress.com/2015/03/15/jesus-as-a-de-facto-corporate-logo/
NOTE: Jeff Sharlet stated in an NBC Nightly News report that when he was an intern with the Fellowship “we were being taught the leadership lessons of Hitler, Lenin and Mao” and that Hitler’s genocide “wasn’t really an issue for them, it was the strength that he emulated.” In his book The Family, Sharlet said Fellowship leader Doug Coe preached a leadership model and a personal commitment to Jesus Christ comparable to the blind devotion that Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Pol Pot demanded from their followers. In one videotaped lecture series in 1989, Coe said, “Hitler, Goebbels and Himmler were three men. Think of the immense power these three men had…. But they bound themselves together in an agreement…. Jesus said, ‘You have to put me before other people. And you have to put me before yourself.’ Hitler, that was the demand to be in the Nazi party. You have to put the Nazi party and its objectives ahead of your own life and ahead of other people.” In the same series, Coe also compared Jesus’s teachings to the Red Guard during the Chinese Cultural Revolution: I’ve seen pictures of young men in the Red Guard of China…. They would bring in this young man’s mother and father, lay her on the table with a basket on the end, he would take an axe and cut her head off…. They have to put the purposes of the Red Guard ahead of the mother-father-brother-sister — their own life! That was a covenant. A pledge. That was what Jesus said.
November 1935: article in Common Sense, retired marine general Smedley D. Butler blamed Brown Brothers, Harriman for having the U.S. marines act like ‘racketeers’ and ‘gangsters’ in order to exploit financially the peasants of Nicaragua.
June 18, 1936: Prescott Bush hired a lawyer to hide the assets. The lawyer he hired had considerable expertise in such underhanded schemes. It was Allen Dulles. According to Dulles’s client list at Sullivan & Cromwell, this was his first relationship with Brown Brothers, Harriman. In January 1937 Dulles listed his work for the firm as ‘Disposal of Stan [Standard Oil] Investing stock.’ Standard Oil of New Jersey had completed a major stock transaction with Dulles’s Nazi client, I.G. Farben. By the end of January 1937 Dulles had merged all his cloaking activities into one client account: ‘Brown Brothers Harriman-Schroeder Rock.’ Schroeder, of course, was the Nazi bank on whose board Dulles sat. The ‘Rock’ were the Rockefellers of Standard Oil, who were already coming under scrutiny for their Nazi deals. By May 1939 Dulles handled another problem for Brown Brothers, Harriman, their ‘Securities Custodian Accounts.’
July 30, 1942: the New York Herald-Tribune ran an article entitled “Hitler’s Angel Has $3m in US Bank”. Union Banking Corporation’s huge gold purchases had raised suspicions that the bank was in fact a “secret nest egg” hidden in New York for Thyssen and other Nazi bigwigs. The Alien Property Commission (APC) launched an investigation.
October 20, 1942: the U.S. government ordered the seizure of all banking operations being carried out by Prescott Bush for the Nazis, under the Trading with the Enemy Act. US government seized a string of assets controlled by Brown Brothers Harriman – including Union Banking Corporation, of which Prescott Bush was a director. Further seizures were made against two affiliates, the Holland-American Trading Corporation and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation.
November 1942: the Silesian-American Company, another of Prescott Bush’s ventures, was also seized.
NOTE: U.S. government investigations revealed that Bush’s Nazi-front bank had actually financed the production of 50.8% of Nazi Germany’s pig iron, 41.4% of Nazi Germany’s universal plate, 36.0% of Nazi Germany’s heavy plate e, 38.5% of Nazi Germany’s galvanized sheet metal, 45.5% of Nazi Germany’s pipes and tubes, 22.1% of Nazi Germany’s wire, and 35.0% of Nazi Germany’s explosives. A report issued by the Office of Alien Property Custodian in 1942 stated of the companies that “since 1939, these (steel and mining) properties have been in possession of and have been operated by the German government and have undoubtedly been of considerable assistance to that country’s war effort”.
1952-1963: Prescott Bush was elected the U.S. Senator from Connecticut, holds the office for 11 years
August 1945: According to Otto Skorzeny, who was Hitler’s bodyguard and a SS spy/assassin, was smuggled out of Germany under Operation Paperclip. Operation Paperclip was the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) program in which over 1,500 German scientists, technicians, and engineers from Nazi Germany and other foreign countries were brought to the United States for employment in the aftermath of World War II. Skorzeny and the Scherffs were instrumental in merging Nazi (SS) intelligence with the OSI to form the CIA with “Wild Bill” Donovan and Allen Dulles. These guys were also part of CIA mind control experiments such as MK-ULTRA.
George Herbert Walker Bush
June 12, 1924: George Herbert Walker Bush, son of Prescott Bush, served as the 41st President of the United States (1989–1993). He had previously served as the 43rd Vice President of the United States (1981–1989), U.S. Representative from Texas, Ambassador to the United Nations, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Chief of the U.S. Liaison Office in the People’s Republic of China, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and a director of the Council on Foreign Relations foreign policy organization.
NOTE: A careful examination of the Internal Currency Review will reveal that former President George H.W. Bush holds “dual citizenship” with Germany, as he is the reputed “head” of the Deutsche Verteidigungs Dienst, the Dachau DVD, or the Abwehr (underground S.S.). Satellite photos confirm that Bush attended a “secret” meeting of the organization, over which he presides, since taking over its leadership from Dr. Henry Kissinger. Kissinger replaced the DVD founder, Admiral Canaris, who became ill in 1976. Canaris reestablished the DVD in Oklahoma City under the name, Samuel Randall Pittman after World War II. The DVD records were stored in the Murrah Federal Building, which was subsequently destroyed in the infamous bombing by “Timothy McVeigh.”
BUSH or SCHERF
George H. Scherff was known as Nicola Tesla’s assistant. It is alleged that George H. Scherff, Jr. changed his name to George Herbert Walker Bush. There exists no legitimate record of a George H. Scherff being born in the U.S. from the late-1800s through 1925.
SCHERF: German and Jewish (Ashke-NAZI); from Middle High German. Habitational name from places in the Rhineland named Scherf, or from Scherfede near Warburg. (Note: The word “Ashkenazi” is derived from the Hebrew word for Germany. Ashkenazi Jews are the Jews of France, Germany, and Eastern Europe).
Note: George H. Scherf(f), Sr. was the real identity of Prescott Sheldon Bush. Even Skorzeny “bought” the story that George H. Scherf, Jr. was Prescott Sheldon Bush adopted son. In effect, Prescott Sheldon Bush was a double agent who worked primarily on behalf of the Nazi SS apparatus that controlled the German Central banks who, in turn, controlled their counterparts on Wall Street and in London. Prescott Sheldon Bush stole Nikola Tesla’s technology and, according to Skorzeny, “robbed Tesla blind.” Friends and acquaintances of Nikola Tesla recall him complaining about Scherff’s son, George, Jr., always snooping around Tesla’s lab. On more than one occasion (probably during the late 1930s), Tesla caught the 14-year old Scherff looking at his notes, poring through his books, and stealing small items from his lab. Tesla gave him the nickname, “Curious George” and likened him to a “mischievous monkey.”
NOTE: According to Skorzeny, in a deathbed confession to Eric “Orion” (Eric Berman) in S. Miami, Florida, Tesla, “hated the younger Scherff.” In fact, according to Skorzeny, the “Curious George” book and movie were inspired by Tesla’s suggestion. Curiously, the day before the national theatrical release of the Hollywood production of the Curious George feature length film, Alan Shalleck, the originator of Curious George (and the man in the Yellow hat), was found murdered under a pile of plastic garbage bags in his driveway in Florida at age 76. In short, Otto Skorzeny claimed that the true identity of George H.W. Bush was “George H. Scherff, Jr., the son of Nikola Tesla’s illegal-immigrant, German-born accountant, George H. Scherff, Sr.” Young George H. Scherff, Jr., who, Skorzeny explained, was trained as a spy and sent to America to work for Adolph Hitler. “He was given false identification and adopted by Prescott Sheldon Bush as his “son,” George Herbert Walker Bush,” Skorzeny went on. “He forged a birth certificate in order to enter the military before he turned 18. He was 16 at the time.
January 17, 2006: Eric “Orion” (Berman), in a live radio interview on Republic Broadcasting Network, detailed how “Skorzeny died on December 31, 1999. His body was cremated, I have a copy of his death certificate, and I saw his ashes. After the war, he helped George Bush found the CIA through Operation Paperclip and ODESSA.” Berman recounted how Skorzeny was found “not guilty” at the Nuremburg trials, and then ushered into the CIA. “Some 50,000+ S.S. Nazi war criminals, not just rocket scientists, were brought to America after the war.”
NOTE: “Following Tesla’s death the United States Office of Alien Property, under the instructions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, confiscated all of Tesla’s papers and property. This was an interesting maneuver considering that Tesla was a United States citizen.
February 3, 1954: J. Edgar Hoover, Director of the FBI, received an unexpected visit from George H. Scherff, Jr. He explained to Hoover that he had worked for Tesla and was entitled to his papers and other effects. He also expressed concern that “a foreign government might also be interested in his inventions.” Scherff, Jr., also gave Hoover an address, “149 Secord (sic) Rd., New Rochelle, New York” [“Seacord” is the correct spelling]. FOIA file on “subject, Nikola Tesla”: “Mr. George H. Scherff Jr. advised that he had received two letters… Mr. Scherff stated that he was an associate of Nikola Tesla in 1914 and that for many years, his father had been Dr. Tesla’s private secretary. Mr. Scherff said that he had never heard of Leland J. Anderson nor any of the names mentioned in Anderson’s letter” (Anderson had written to the Scherff household seeking information about Tesla’s writings. He was working on a thesis for school and had been seeking information from Tesla’s associates and communications). “Mr. Scherff stated that he has quite a bit of Tesla’s writings in his possession and he didn’t know whether or not they would be of value to a foreign government.”
1952: Republicans formed an Ethnic Division, which, recruited the ‘displaced Fascists’ who arrived in the United States after World War II. The Ethnic Division attracted a significant number of Central and Eastern European Nazis, who had been recruited by the SS as political and police leaders during the Holocaust. These Fascist emigres supported the Eisenhower-Nixon ‘liberation’ policy as the quickest means of getting back into power in their former homelands and made a significant contribution ‘in its first operation (1951/1952).
April 17-19, 1961: George Herbert Walker Bush has also been implicated in the Bay of Pigs invasion that preceded the Kennedy assassination. His Zapata Oil Company was used by the CIA as a means of financing and orchestrating political assassinations, arms deals and money laundering.
NOTE: The most intriguing of Bush’s early connections was to Richard Nixon, who as vice president had supervised Allen Dulles’s covert planning for the Bay of Pigs [invasion]. For years it has been rumored that Dulles’s client, George Bush’s father, was one of the Republican leaders who recruited Nixon to run for Congress and later convinced Eisenhower to take him on as vice president. There is no doubt that the two families were close. George Bush described Nixon as his ‘mentor.’ Nixon was a Bush supporter in his very first tilt at politics, during his unsuccessful run for the Senate in 1964, and turned out again when he entered the House two years later. After Nixon’s landslide victory in 1972, he ordered a general house cleaning on the basis of loyalty. ‘Eliminate everyone,’ he told John Ehrlichman about reappointments, ‘except George Bush. Bush will do anything for our cause.’
November 20, 1963: an advertisement under “Club Activities” was published in the Dallas Morning News stating that George Bush, president, Zapata Off-Shore Co., would be speaking for the American Association of Oilwell Drilling contractors at 6:30 p.m., the next day at the Sheraton-Dallas Hotel. The advertisement places George H. W. Bush in Dallas the day before JFK was assassinated; there is no public record indicating when Bush left Dallas on that trip.
November 22, 1963: George Herbert Walker Bush appears in a photograph taken at the Texas School Book Depository, in Dallas, Texas, after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Despite his admitted “failure to recall his whereabouts” on that fateful day, he (as an agent with the CIA) was debriefed by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover the following day. In 1993, a little-known document surfaced which described, not only this debriefing, but George Herbert Walker Bush involvement with the CIA as early as 1960. When asked where he was when Kennedy was shot, Bush has said vaguely that he was “somewhere in Texas.”
November 22, 1963: George Herbert Walker Bush had also made a telephone call to the Houston office of the FBI, after the assassination, attempting to frame a James Parrott, “possibly a student at the University of Houston,” by stating that “one James Parrott has been talking of killing the President when he comes to Houston.” “At 1:45 p.m. Mr. GEORGE H. W. BUSH, President of the Zapata Off-Shore Drilling Company, Houston, Texas, residence 5525 Briar, Houston, telephonically furnished this following information to writer by a long distance telephone call from Tyler, Texas.” Tyler is a small town about 100 miles east of Dallas. In the second and third paragraphs, Graham discloses, “Bush stated that he wanted to be kept confidential but wanted to furnish hearsay that he recalled hearing in recount weeks, the day and source unknown.” George Herbert Walker Bush then gave the FBI the names of two Harris County Republican Party Headquarters staffers, a “Mrs. Farley” and “Arlene Smith,” as two sources of “additional information regarding the identity of Parrot.” George Herbert Walker Bush apparently forgave Parrott sometime later when Parrott worked on his presidential campaign when he ran against Bill Clinton in 1992.
November 29, 1963: an FBI memo written by J. Edgar Hoover, advised that the FBI office in Miami warned the Department of State on Nov. 23, 1963, one day after the assassination, that “some misguided anti-Castro group might capitalize on the present situation and undertake an unauthorized raid against Cuba, believing that the assassination of President John F. Kennedy might herald a change in U.S. policy, which is not true.” In the last paragraph of the memo, Hoover noted that “Mr. George Bush of the Central Intelligence Agency” furnished the background information contained in the report. Bush denied any involvement with the CIA before President Ford named him director in 1975.
1972: The Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) was founded by a Pakistani banker, Agha Hasan Abedi, with the support of Sheik Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, ruler of Abu Dhabi and head of the United Arab Emirates. Its corporate strategy was money laundering. It became the banker for drug and arms traffickers, corrupt officials, financial fraudsters, dictators and terrorists. BCCI was a dirty offshore bank that then-President Ronald Reagan’s Central Intelligence Agency used to run guns to Saddam Hussein, finance Osama bin Laden, move money in the illegal Iran-Contra operation and carry out other “agency” black ops. The Bushes also benefited privately; one of the bank’s largest Saudi investors helped bail out George W. Bush’s troubled oil investments. The CIA used BCCI Islamabad and other branches in Pakistan to funnel some of the $2 billion that Washington sent to Osama bin Laden’s Mujahadeen to help fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. It moved the cash the Pakistani military and government officials skimmed from U.S. aid to the Mujahadeen. It also moved money as required by the Saudi intelligence services. At the same time, BCCI helped Saddam Hussein, funneling millions of dollars to the Atlanta branch of the Italian government-owned Banca Nazionale del Lavoro (BNL), Baghdad’s U.S. banker, so that from 1985 to 1989 it could make $4 billion in secret loans to Iraq to help it buy arms. BNL was a client of Kissinger Associates, and Henry Kissinger was on the bank’s international advisory board, along with Brent Scowcroft, who would become George Bush Sr.’s national security advisor.
The Bushes’ private links to the bank passed to Bin Mahfouz through Texas businessman James R. Bath, who invested money in the United States on behalf of the Saudi regime. In 1976, when Bush was the head of the CIA, the agency sold some of the planes of Air America, a secret “proprietary” airline it used during the Vietnam War, to Skyway, a company owned by Bath and Bin Mahfouz. Bath then helped finance George W. Bush’s oil company, Arbusto Energy Inc., in 1979 and 1980.
1968: Nixon himself personally recruited ex-Nazis for his 1968 presidential campaign. One of the Nazis recruited by candidate Nixon was Laszlo Pasztor, the founding chair of Nixon’s Republican Heritage Groups council” who, “during World War II was a diplomat in Berlin representing the Arrow Cross government of Nazi Hungary, which supervised the extermination of the Jewish population.
NOTE: One of Allen Dulles’s secret spies inside the Democratic party later became George Bush’s partner in the Mexican oil business. Edwin Pauley, a California oil man, was one of Dulles’s covert agents in the Roosevelt and Truman administrations. At one point CIA agents used Pemex, the Mexican government’s oil monopoly, as a business cover at the same time Pemex was being used as a money laundry for Pauley’s campaign contributions. The Mexican-CIA connection played an important part in the development of George H.W. Bush’s political and intelligence career.
1972: According to Bush’s account, Nixon told him that ‘the place I really need you is over at the National Committee running things.’ Nixon appointed George Bush as head of the Republican National Committee.
NOTE: Bush told Nixon that the Watergate investigations might start uncovering the Fascist skeletons in the Republican party’s closet. Bush himself acknowledges that he wrote Nixon a letter asking him to step down. The day after Bush did so, Nixon resigned. Bush had hoped to become Gerald Ford’s vice president upon Nixon’s resignation, but he was appointed U.S. ambassador to the UN. Nelson Rockefeller became vice president and chief damage controller. He formed a special commission in an attempt to preempt the Senate’s investigation of the intelligence community. The Rockefeller Commission into CIA abuses was filled with old OPC [Dulles’s Office of Policy Coordination] hands like Ronald Reagan, who had been the front man back in the 1950s for the money-laundering organization, the Crusade for Freedom, which was part of Dulles’s Fascist ‘freedom fighters’ program.”
January 1981: “Why in the world did Ronald Reagan sell us down the tube by taking George Bush as his running mate?” “Bo, George Bush was Ronald Reagan’s greatest opponent,” “and Ronald Reagan said he would never have him. Then, Ronald Reagan was invited to New York to go see Rockefeller. When he saw Rockefeller, he was told, ‘If you do not take my head of the Trilateral Commission'” (Council on Foreign Relations, George Bush) “‘as your running mate, the only way you’ll see the inside of the White House is as a tourist.”
1981-1989: As Vice President of the United States, George H.W. Bush was assigned by Reagan to chair two special task forces, on deregulation and international drug smuggling; fighting the “War on Drugs”. The deregulation task force reviewed hundreds of rules, making specific recommendations on which ones to amend or revise, in order to curb the size of the federal government. The drug smuggling task force coordinated federal efforts to reduce the quantity of drugs entering the United States.
NOTE: Bush is alleged to have been the cocaine kingpin of the 1980s and by 2008 deregulation had almost bankrupted the entire country.
March 30, 1981: The attempted assassination of United States President Ronald Reagan occurred 69 days into his presidency. While leaving a speaking engagement at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., President Reagan and three others were shot and wounded by John Hinckley, Jr.
The Secret Service (SS) started the day by telling the president that he did not need his protective vest. Reagan’s limousine did not stop at the Hilton Hotel entrance as it should have. Instead the driver pulled forward 40-50 feet, forcing Reagan to walk in the open. According to security protocol, the SS would form a diamond around the president, yet in this case, they formed a file to the right leaving Reagan and his party exposed. The original story was that the assailant used a .38 caliber weapon, which accords well with the physical reactions of the victims. However, about 3-4 hours after the assault, the weapon became a .22 caliber. ABC film footage shows a DC cop swapping the .38 for a .22.
When the President was shot, he was pushed into the car by a man named Jerry Parr that was his Secret Service guard. Jerry Parr fell on top of him and, I just saw in the *Reader’s Digest* where Jerry Parr was telling his “valiant story.” And the limousine tore off, didn’t it? Now it was *five minutes later* that the ambulance arrived and they put the Secret Service man, the Washington, D.C. policeman, and Brady in the ambulance and *it* roared off. Using normal time-rate/distance, who should have arrived at George Washington University Hospital first? The President should have. Well, who did? You know it’s a trick question. The ambulance arrived 15 minutes before the President. When asked, “What happened?” the Secret Service simply responded, “We got lost.”
NOTE: The Bush family and the Hinkley family were good friends. Bush Sr. and John Hinkley Sr. were both oil men. In the late 1960s, when Hinckley’s Vanderbilt Oil began failing, Bush’s Zapata Oil bailed him out rechristening the company Vanderbilt Energy. John Hinkley Sr. helped raise funds for Bush unsuccessful attempt to wrest the Republican nomination for President from Reagan. On the night after the assassination attempt, Scott Hinkley, John Hinkley Jr’s brother was scheduled to have dinner with Neil Bush, who is Vice President Bush Sr’s son.
Hinkley’s father was the number 2 man in a CIA front called WORLD VISION SOCIETY. The WORLD VISION SOCIETY purported to feed the world’s hungry while all along their purpose was to manage refugee camps from which to recruit assassins. Today the WORLD VISION SOCIETY manages the refugee camp at the old Jones Town location where the CIA’s Hmong mercenaries now are.
NOTE: Mark Chapman, the assassin of John Lennon, worked at a WORLD VISION SOCIETY managed refugee camp for the Cuban boat people at Fort Chaffee with the remnents of ALPHA 66. As Lennon was shot, president elect Reagan and his chosen CIA Director Bill Casey clinked champaign glasses a few blocks away in a New York City hotel. That is how they set the tenor of their administration. One of the policemen who found Chapman was convinced that he was a mind-controlled assassin. He was clutching a copy of the novel “Catcher in the Rye,” which was also owned by John Hinckley Jr. (The book was written by J.D. Salinger, who worked in military intelligence with Henry Kissinger during World War II.) Before going to trial, Chapman pleaded guilty after a voice in his head (which he attributed to God) commanded him to do so. One of the strangest CIA connections to Jonestown was World Vision, an evangelical order which often fronts for the CIA. They performed espionage work for the CIA in Southeast Asia while Operation Phoenix (the murderous project that left 40,000 people dead) was in full effect. In Honduras, they maintained a presence at CIA contra recruiting camps in the war against the Sandinistas. In Lebanon, the fascist Phalange butchered Palestinians at World Vision’s camp. In Cuba, their refugee camps hosted numerous members of the anti-Castro terrorist group Alpha 66 of Bay of Pigs fame. After the Guyana massacre, World Vision developed a scheme to repopulate Jonestown with CIA-linked mercenaries from Laos. Laos, of course, was where the CIA was running its “secret war” during Vietnam, which for the most part was a smokescreen for a widespread opium trafficking operation. Near Jonestown there was a place called Hilltown, a compound of 8,000 blacks that followed cult leader Rabbi David Hill, who held his flock with an iron fist. Hill had so much power that he was referred to as the “vice prime minister” of Guyana. There was also another place in Guyana called “Johnstown,” as well as similar operations in the Philippines and Chile. It appears that Jonestown (and World Vision’s later attempt) is hardly the exception to the rule of using obscure locations in Third World nations as laboratories for covert cult operations.
December 4, 1981: President Ronald Reagan signed Executive Order 12333, an Executive Order intended to extend powers and responsibilities of US intelligence agencies and direct the leaders of U.S. federal agencies to co-operate fully with CIA requests for information. This executive order was entitled United States Intelligence Activities. Executive Order 12333 has been regarded by the American intelligence community as a fundamental document authorizing the expansion of data collection activities. The document has been employed by the National Security Agency as legal authorization for its secret systematic collection of unencrypted information flowing through the data centers of internet communications giants Google and Yahoo. In July 2014 chairman David Medine and two other members of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, a government oversight agency, indicated a desire to review Executive Order 12333 in the near future, according to a report by journalist Spencer Ackerman of The Guardian. In July 2014, former State Department official John Tye published an editorial in The Washington Post, citing his prior access to classified material on intelligence-gathering activities under Executive Order 12333, and arguing that the order represented a significant threat to Americans’ privacy and civil liberties.
NOTE: During his presidency, President George H.W. Bush, traveled to Hong Kong, demanding trillions of dollars from Ambassador Leo Emil Wanta and his Chinese partner, Howe Kwong-Kok; Howe died of poisoning 10 days later, due to their refusal to turn over the money (amassed under Presidential Order 12333) which was slated to be returned to the U.S. Treasury. The $4.5 trillion tagged settlement funds are currently being used as a financial ping-pong ball in money laundering, Ponzi schemes, derivatives, trusts, pension funds, and offshore accounts, with Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, CitiBank Group, JPMorganChase, Goldman Sachs and Co., Bank of Nova Scotia, Chemical Bank, First Union Bank, banks in Germany, Spain, Holland, England, Grenada, North Vietnam, India, U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, a host of Cabinet members, former President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton, Vice-President Richard Cheney and President George W. Bush taking turns holding the paddle. The funds were transferred from bank to bank, moving first from the Bank of America account to Wachovia Bank in New York and onward to Goldman Sachs. Intelligence information shows that the funds still reside at Goldman Sachs, though this is denied by the firm. In fact, a Treasury agent recently confirmed that the funds are there, being held illegally.
1986: Reagan administration officials had secretly arranged weapon sales to Iran, and had used the proceeds to fund the anti-communist Contras in Nicaragua, a direct violation of the law. When the Iran-Contra Affair, as it became known, broke to the media, Bush, like Reagan, stated that he had been “out of the loop” and unaware of the diversion of funds, although this was later questioned. His diaries from that time stated “I’m one of the few people that know fully the details.”
1987- : Washington D.C. is home to a Merchant Bank called the Carlyle Group. The main thrust of business the Carlyle Group concerns itself with involves buying out defense and aerospace companies involved with high level U.S. defense projects, as well as telecommunications companies. The Carlyle Group is also associated with the Asian Partners Fund. The Bin Laden family are major investors in the Carlyle Group as well as the Texas Teachers Fund, which was appointed under then Governor George W. Bush. The Group is managed by a team of former US Government personnel including its president Frank Carlucci, former deputy director of the CIA before becoming Defence Secretary. His deputy is James Baker II, who was Secretary of State under George Bush senior. Several high profile former politicians are employed to represent the company overseas, among them John Major, former British Prime Minister, along with George Bush senior, one time CIA director before becoming US President. The financial assets of the Saudi Binladen Corporation (SBC) are also managed by the Carlyle Group. The SBC is headed up by members of Osama bin Laden’s family, who played a principle role in helping George W. Bush win petroleum concessions from Bahrain when he was head of the Texan oil company, Harken Energy Corporation – a deal that was to make the Bush family millions of dollars.
1988: George H.W. Bush speech at the Republican National Convention included the famous pledge: “Read my lips: no new taxes.”
1988: Project Censored, a news media censorship research organization, awarded the honor of “Top Censored story” to the subject of George H.W. Bush. The article revealed “how the major mass media ignored, overlooked or undercovered at least ten critical stories reported in America’s alternative press that raised serious questions about the Republican candidate, George Bush, dating from his reported role as a CIA ‘asset’ in 1963 to his Presidential campaign’s connection with a network of anti-Semites with Nazi and fascist affiliations in 1988.”
1989–1993: As President, George H.W. Bush economic recession and breaking his “no new taxes” pledge caused a sharp decline in his approval rating. He ordered military operations in Panama and the Persian Gulf.
SADDAM GATE: United States food trade credits to Iraq were being spent on building up Saddam Hussein’s military arsenal until the last weeks before the Gulf War. Financial Times reporter Alan Friedman revealed that: President Bush and Secretary of State James Baker had committed billions of taxpayer dollars to assist Saddam Hussein. Bush and Baker allowed the export of U.S. technology that would directly help Baghdad build a massive arsenal of chemical, biological and possibly nuclear weapons. The arms were given to help Iraq fight Iran. The CIA helped orchestrated illegal arms deals that involved Pinochet supporters in Chile, the apartheid regime in South Africa as well as most of the major NATO allies in Europe.
NOTE: A small Atlanta, Georgia, branch of an Italian bank received taxpayers’ money in the form of U.S. Department of Agriculture credits that the United States provided for Iraq totaling $5 billion dollars that went to Saddam Hussein with the knowledge of the C.I.A. and the White House. The Iraq-Iran war resulted in 1 million, men, women and children dying. When the war between Iran and Iraq ended, in 1988, 1989, 1990, the Bush administration, the same policies continued. Ted Koppel of ABC “Nightline,” and Bill Safire of the “New York Times” were active in exposing illegal set of shipments to Saddam Hussein with the blessing of the Bush white house.
June 1989: the Chinese military suppressed a pro-democracy movement demonstrating in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square. Using tanks and armored cars, the military crushed the demonstrations and fired into the crowd, killing hundreds of protestors. Many in Congress cried out for a harsh, punitive response to the Chinese government’s killing of peaceful protestors, but the Bush administration imposed only limited sanctions.
December 1989: Bush ordered 24,000 troops into the country with an objective of removing Noriega from power; “Operation Just Cause” was a large-scale American military operation, and the first in more than 40 years that was not related to the Cold War. Noriega surrendered to the United States and was convicted and imprisoned on racketeering and drug trafficking charges in April 1992.
NOTE: When he was head of the C.I.A., Mr. Bush was told that Mr. Noriega had paid American soldiers to give him reams of highly sensitive transcripts and tapes from America’s eavesdropping operation in Panama. Lew Allen Jr., who at the time was head of the National Security Agency, which is in charge of electronic surveillance, urged Mr. Bush in a 1976 meeting to support prosecution of the soldiers, a move that would have publicly exposed Mr. Noriega’s role in the case. Mr. Bush declined, saying that as C.I.A. Director he had no authority to challenge the Army’s decision against prosecution.
Gen. Manuel Antonio Noriega has condemned George Bush for his involvement in drug trafficking, murder, and political persecution during his 12-year tenure as Vice President and President of the United States. General Noriega has again detailed his long-standing personal experiences with George Bush, revealing the real reasons that, as President, Bush deployed tens of thousands of U.S. troops to Panama to carry out his “arrest,” and providing new corroboration that Bush was, as EIR has documented, the cocaine kingpin of the 1980s.
These latest Noriega revelations add to the growing volume of evidence that, under the December 1981 Executive Order 12333, and National Security Decision Directive 3, then-Vice President Bush was placed in charge of a clandestine enterprise, headquartered in his White House office, that carried out high crimes and misdemeanors, under the fraudulent protective coloration of “national security.”
August 2, 1990: Iraq, led by Saddam Hussein, invaded its oil-rich neighbor to the south, Kuwait; Bush condemned the invasion and began rallying opposition to Iraq in the US and among European, Asian, and Middle Eastern allies. Secretary of Defense Richard Bruce “Dick” Cheney traveled to Saudi Arabia to meet with King Fahd; Fahd requested US military aid in the matter, fearing a possible invasion of his country as well. The request was met initially with Air Force fighter jets. Iraq made attempts to negotiate a deal that would allow the country to take control of half of Kuwait. Bush rejected this proposal and insisted on a complete withdrawal of Iraqi forces. The planning of a ground operation by US-led coalition forces began forming in September 1990, headed by General Norman Schwarzkopf.
NOTE: Bush administration’s handling of Saddam Hussein after his capture on Dec. 13, 2003, near Tikrit, eight months after the U.S.-led invasion toppled his government. Instead of being turned over to the international criminal court at The Hague, where he could have been thoroughly interrogated, Hussein was kept under tight U.S. control until he was handed over to his Iraqi enemies on Dec. 30, 2006, for a chaotic hanging. In death, Hussein couldn’t disclose what George W. Bush’s first Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said during that famous hand-shake meeting in 1983, nor whether he got an alleged message from Vice President George H.W. Bush in the mid-1980s about how best to deploy Iraq’s air force against Iran, nor if then-deputy CIA director Robert Gates was running interference for Iraq’s military supply line in the 1980s.
It was the elder George Bush, as Vice President, who allegedly oversaw the covert U.S. operation to assist Hussein’s war machine during the eight-year Iran-Iraq War; Rumsfeld, as special U.S. envoy to the Middle East, held private chats with the Iraqi dictator about his war needs; and Gates, as a senior CIA official, reportedly rebuffed Israeli protests about U.S. tolerance for third-country military shipments to Iraq, including precursor chemicals. For more details on what Hussein might have revealed, see Robert Parry’s Secrecy & Privilege.
September 11, 1990: Bush addressed a joint session of Congress regarding the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, and he discussed “an historic period of cooperation,” which he called the New World Order.
January 16, 1991: in an address to the nation about the start of the Persian Gulf War, Bush used the term New World Order in explaining the motivations and justifications for using force against Iraq: We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order—a world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle, governs the conduct of nations. When we are successful—and we will be—we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N.’s founders.
January 17, 1991: allied forces launched the first attack, which included more than 4,000 bombing runs by coalition aircraft. This pace would continue for the next four weeks, until a ground invasion was launched on February 24, 1991. Bush made the decision to stop the offensive after a mere 100 hours.
NOTE: Bush’s administration spearheaded the negotiations of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which would eliminate the majority of tariffs on products traded among the United States, Canada, and Mexico, to encourage trade amongst the countries. The treaty also restricts patents, copyrights, and trademarks, and outlines the removal of investment restrictions among the three countries. NAFTA also contained no provisions for labor rights. The U.S. trade deficit with Canada and Mexico ballooned to 12 times its pre-NAFTA size, reaching $111 billion in 2004.
February 1991: as American forces were driving Saddam’s troops out of Kuwait, George H. W. Bush called for the people of Iraq to rise up and overthrow the dictator. That message was repeatedly broadcast across Iraq. It was also contained in millions of leaflets dropped by the U.S. Air Force.
In his autobiography, General Schwarzkopf, without giving details, alludes to the fact that the American-led coalition aided Saddam to crush the uprising. The report of the U.S. Government’s Iraq Survey Group, which investigated Saddam’s WMD after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 and concluded that Saddam no longer had any WMD. Almost universally ignored by the media, however, was the finding that Saddam had resorted to his WMD during the 1991 uprising. The “regime was shaking and wanted something ‘very quick and effective’ to put down the revolt.” They considered then rejected using mustard gas, as it would be too perceptible with U.S. troops close by. Instead, on March 7th, 1991 the Iraqi military filled R-400 aerial bombs with sarin, a binary nerve agent. “Dozens of sorties were flown against Shiite rebels in Kerbala and the surrounding areas,” the ISG report said.
On March 7th, Secretary of State James Baker warned Saddam not to resort to chemical weapons to repress the uprising. But why, when the U.S. was notified that the Iraqi dictator actually had resorted to chemical weapons, was there no forceful reaction from the administration of the elder Bush? Instead, the American decision to turn their backs on the Intifada gave a green light to Saddam Hussein’s ruthless counterattack. General Wafiq al-Samarrai learned of the decision after Iraqi units intercepted frantic conversations between two Islamic rebels near Nassariya. One told the other that he had gone to the Americans to ask for support, and twice was rebuffed. “They say, ‘We are not going to support you because you are Shiites and are collaborating with Iran.'” After hearing that message, al-Samarrai recalled, “The position of the regime immediately became more confident. Now [Saddam] began to attack the Intifada.”
1992: Bush committed U.S. troops to Somalia
NOTE: When Bush left office, the former Yugoslavia republics were in the midst of wars that would continue for years to come. It was believed that if the United States had launched a strong military action, it could have prevented some of the atrocities that occurred.
December 24, 1992: he granted executive clemency to six former government employees implicated in the Iran-Contra scandal of the late 1980s, most prominently former Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger.
1993: Bush was awarded an honorary knighthood (GCB) by Queen Elizabeth II. He was the third American president to receive the honor, the others being Dwight D. Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan.
1993: Bush visited Kuwait to commemorate the coalition’s victory over Iraq in the Gulf War, where he was allegedly targeted in an assassination plot. Kuwaiti authorities arrested 17 people allegedly involved in using a car bomb to kill Bush. Through interviews with the suspects and examinations of the bomb’s circuitry and wiring, the FBI established that the plot had been directed by the Iraqi Intelligence Service. A Kuwaiti court later convicted all but one of the defendants. Two months later, in retaliation, Clinton ordered the firing of 23 cruise missiles at Iraqi Intelligence Service headquarters in Baghdad. The day before the strike, U.S. Ambassador to the UN Madeleine Albright went before the Security Council to present evidence of the Iraqi plot.
NOTE: A Pentagon study conducted for the Pentagon’s Joint Forces Command, combed through 600,000 pages of Iraqi intelligence documents seized after the fall of Baghdad, as well as thousands of hours of audio- and videotapes of Saddam’s conversations with his ministers and top aides. The study found that the IIS kept remarkably detailed records of virtually every operation it planned, including plots to assassinate Iraqi exiles and to supply explosives and booby-trapped suitcases to Iraqi embassies. But the Pentagon researchers found no documents that referred to a plan to kill Bush.
George Walker Bush
July 6, 1946: George Walker Bush is an American politician and businessman who served as the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009, and the 46th Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000.
1979: Arbusto Energy (sometimes referred to as Arbusto Oil was a petroleum and energy company formed in Midland, Texas, for George W. Bush by a group of investors which included Dorothy Bush, Lewis Lehrman, William Henry Draper III, Bill Gammell, and James R. Bath. The company’s chief financial officer was K. Michael Conaway, now a United States Congressman from Texas. Bush made an investment of $50,000 while representing Salem bin Laden of the Saudi Binladin Group. Salem bin Laden being an older, half-brother of Osama bin Laden. Salem bin Laden died in a 1988 airplane crash, in Texas. In 1987 the Saudi investor Abdullah Taha Bakhsh bought most of Union Bank of Switzerland’s shares in Harken becoming its third largest investor owning 17% of the company.
April 1989: George W. Bush purchased a share in the Texas Rangers baseball franchise, where he served as managing general partner for five years. He actively led the team’s projects and regularly attended its games, often choosing to sit in the open stands with fans. Bush’s sale of his shares in the Rangers in 1998 brought him over $15 million from his initial $800,000 investment.
June 22 1990: George Bush, then a director with a company called Harken Energy, sold 212,140 shares at $4 a share, for a grand total of $848,560. Almost exactly two months later, on August 20, Harken announced a $23.2m loss, which caused its shares to drop to $2.375 from $3. The next day, Harken returned to $3, but fell to $1 at the end of 1990. Bush neglected to inform the SEC about his transaction until 34 weeks had passed. The Harken Energy scandal refers to a series of transactions entered into during 1990 involving Harken Energy. These transactions are alleged to involve either issues relating to insider trading, or influence peddling.
1990: Harken Energy was awarded a lucrative contract from the Persian Gulf nation of Bahrain, the deal was widely seen as an effort on the part of Bahrain’s royal family to win favor with the White House. The contract was to drill for crude oil off the coast of Bahrain, Harken had no previous experience outside of the US or of drilling offshore. Salem, Osama bin Laden’s brother, was represented on Harken’s board of directors by his American agent, James R. Bath.
May 10, 1992: According to the Dayton Daily News, “After Silverado, Neil Bush got a $ 2 million loan from the Small Business Administration and walked on it. Son Marvin Bush also has a spotty business record, and George W. Bush was accused of violating securities laws governing insider stock sales when he sold his shares of Harken Oil on the eve of the Persian Gulf War.”
November 7, 2000: George W. Bush received 543,895 fewer individual votes than Al Gore nationwide, but he was to win the Presidential election by receiving 271 electoral votes to Gore’s 266.
2001-2009: The George W. Bush administration increased federal government spending from $1.789 trillion to $2.983 trillion (60%) while revenues increased from $2.025 trillion to $2.524 trillion (from 2000 to 2008). Individual income tax revenues increased by 14%, corporate tax revenues by 50%, customs and duties by 40%. Discretionary defense spending was increased by 107%, discretionary domestic spending by 62%, Medicare spending by 131%, social security by 51%, and income security spending by 130%. Cyclically adjusted, revenues rose by 35% and spending by 65%.
The surplus in fiscal year 2000 was $237 billion—the third consecutive surplus and the largest surplus ever. In 2001, Bush’s budget estimated that there would be a $5.6 trillion surplus over the next ten years. During the 2001 to 2008 years, GDP grew at an average annual rate of 2.125%, less than for past business cycles. Bush entered office with the Dow Jones Industrial Average at 10,587, and the average peaked in October 2007 at over 14,000. When Bush left office, the average was at 7,949. Adjusted for inflation, median household income dropped by $1,175 between 2000 and 2007. The poverty rate increased from 11.3% in 2000 to 12.3% in 2006. By October 2008, due to increases in spending, the national debt had risen to $11.3 trillion, an increase of over 100% from 2000 when the debt was only $5.6 trillion. By the end of Bush’s presidency, unemployment climbed to 7.2%.
Bush signed into law a Medicare drug benefit program that resulted in “the greatest expansion in America’s welfare state in forty years;” the bill’s costs approached $7 trillion. Nearly 8 million immigrants came to the United States from 2000 to 2005, more than in any other five-year period in the nation’s history. Almost half entered illegally.
Bush began his presidency with approval ratings near 50%. After the September 11 attacks, Bush gained an approval rating of 90%, maintaining 80–90% approval for four months after the attacks. It remained over 50% during most of his first term and then fell to as low as 19% in his second term.
Bush received heavy criticism for his handling of the Iraq War, his response to Hurricane Katrina and to the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse, NSA warrantless surveillance, the Plame affair, and Guantanamo Bay detention camp controversies.
Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), who had run against Bush during the 2004 presidential campaign, introduced 35 articles of impeachment on the floor of the House of Representatives against Bush on June 9, 2008, but Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) declared that impeachment was “off the table”.
2001: Bush stated his opposition to the Kyoto Protocol, an amendment to the UN Convention on Climate Change which seeks to impose mandatory targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, citing that the treaty exempted 80% of the world’s population.
July 2001: U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies received warning signals that Middle Eastern terrorists were planning to hijack commercial aircraft to use as weapons to attack important symbols of American and Israeli culture.
August 6, 2001: Presidential Daily Brief was entitled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US”.
September 2001: Bush issued an executive order authorizing the President’s Surveillance Program which included allowing the NSA to monitor communications between suspected terrorists outside the U.S and parties within the U.S. without obtaining a warrant as required by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. As of 2009, the other provisions of the program remained highly classified. Once the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel questioned its original legal opinion that FISA did not apply in a time of war, the program was subsequently re-authorized by the President on the basis that the warrant requirements of FISA were implicitly superseded by the subsequent passage of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists. In August 2006, a U.S. district court judge ruled that the NSA electronic surveillance program was unconstitutional, but on July 6, 2007, that ruling was vacated by the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit on the grounds that the plaintiffs lacked standing.
September 6, 2001: Condoleezza Rice was warned that a terrorist attack inside the United States was imminent.
September 10, 2001: NEWSWEEK learned, a group of top Pentagon officials suddenly canceled travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of security concerns.”
September 10, 2001: Donald Rumsfeld announces at a Pentagon press conference that $2.3 trillion has gone missing
September 11, 2001: Bush at Booker Elementary – “I remember once the Secret Service thought they had another threat and tried to get the president to leave,” [Karen Hughes, a senior counselor to George W. Bush] said. “And he insisted that he wasn’t leaving. I’ll never forget, he said: ‘In fact, I’m hungry. I want a hamburger.’ President Bush knew the twin towers had been hit by commercial airliners. An unknown number of people were dead or injured, and some were jumping from the towers, but the main concern of the US forces commander-in-chief was getting a hamburger.
NOTE: even after Andrew Card informed Bush of the second impact, he continued listening to the reading skills of a classroom full of children for 20 minutes.
President George W. Bush stated that: “Nobody in our government at least, and I don’t think the prior government, could envisage flying air planes into buildings” and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice claimed: “no-one could have predicted that they would try to use an airplane as a missile”. An Air Force general called the attack: “something we had never seen before, something we had never even thought of.” A few days after the attacks, FBI Director Robert Mueller announced: “There were no warning signs that I’m aware of that would indicate this type of operation in the country.”
The book The Terror Timeline includes numerous articles that suggest that the method of flying planes into buildings was known by U.S. officials:
- In 1994, there were three examples of failed attempts to deliberately crash planes into buildings, including one where a lone pilot crashed a small plane into the lawn of the White House.
- The Bojinka Plot was a foiled large-scale al-Qaeda terrorist attack to blow up eleven airliners and their passengers as they flew from Asia to America, due to take place in January 1995.
- The 2000 edition of the FAA’s annual report on Criminal Acts Against Aviation said that although Osama bin Laden ‘is not known to have attacked civil aviation, he has both the motivation and the wherewithal to do so,’ adding, ‘Bin Laden’s anti-Western and anti-American attitudes make him and his followers a significant threat to civil aviation, particularly to U.S. civil aviation.’”
- In April 2001, NORAD ran a war game in which the Pentagon was to become incapacitated; a NORAD planner proposed the simulated crash of a hijacked foreign commercial airliner into the Pentagon, but the Joints Chiefs of Staff rejected that scenario as “too unrealistic”
- In July 2001 at the G8 summit in Genoa, anti-aircraft missile batteries were installed following a report that terrorists would try to crash a plane to kill George Bush and other world leaders.
- On the morning of September 11, 2001, the National Reconnaissance Office, who are responsible for operating U.S. reconnaissance satellites, had scheduled an exercise simulating the crashing of an aircraft into their building, four miles (6 km) from Washington Dulles International Airport.
A 2004 USA Today article, “NORAD had drills of jets as weapons”, describes pre-9/11 NORAD drills that suggest they were prepared for such an attack as happened on 9/11: “In the two years before the September 11 attacks, the North American Aerospace Defense Command conducted exercises simulating what the White House says was unimaginable at the time: hijacked airliners used as weapons to crash into targets and cause mass casualties. One of the imagined targets was the World Trade Center. In another exercise, jets performed a mock shootdown over the Atlantic Ocean of a jet supposedly laden with chemical poisons headed toward a target in the United States. In a third scenario, the target was the Pentagon — but that drill was not run after Defense officials said it was unrealistic.” That NORAD was aware of the threat of terrorists hijacking commercial airliners within the United States, and using them as guided missiles, was flatly denied by the 9/11 Commission, which asserted several times in their report that “The threat of terrorists hijacking commercial airliners within the United States – and using them as guided missiles – was not recognized by NORAD before 9/11.”
The Joint Inquiry of 2002 confirmed that the Intelligence Community had received at least twelve reports over a seven-year period suggesting that terrorists might use planes as weapons. After briefly discussing each of them, it says that “The CIA disseminated several of these reports to the FBI and to agencies responsible for preventive actions. They included the FAA… Despite these reports, the Intelligence Community did not produce any assessments of the likelihood that terrorists would use planes as weapons, and U.S. policymakers apparently remained unaware of this kind of potential threat.” Former National Security Advisor Sandy Berger testified to the Joint Inquiry: “We heard of the idea of planes as weapons, but I don’t recall being presented with any specific threat information about an attack of this nature, or highlighting this threat, or indicating it was more likely than any other”
NOTES on September 11, 2001:
Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta testified to the 9/11 Commission: “During the time that the airplane was coming into the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President … the plane is 50 miles out…the plane is 30 miles out….and when it got down to the plane is 10 miles out, the young man also said to the vice president “do the orders still stand?” And the Vice President turned and whipped his neck around and said “Of course the orders still stand, have you heard anything to the contrary!?”
Former 9/11 Commissioner Max Cleland said “As each day goes by, we learn that this government knew a whole lot more about these terrorists before Sept. 11 than it has ever admitted” (he also said, when he resigned from the 9/11 Commission: “It is a national scandal”; “This investigation is now compromised”; and “One of these days we will have to get the full story because the 9-11 issue is so important to America. But this White House wants to cover it up”.)
September 18, 2001: one week after the September 11 attacks. Letters containing anthrax spores were mailed to several news media offices and two Democratic U.S. Senators, killing five people and infecting 17 others. Senators Patrick Leahy and Tom Daschle both opposed passage of the PATRIOT Act received anthrax letters. These attacks supposedly stemmed from Osama Bin Laden or Saddam Hussein terrorist cells. We saw a couple senators receiving a massive amount supposedly by mail though for some reason they never contracted it after opening it, though a letter carrier died from simply delivering one with a far lesser amount. Also established is the fact that the Anthrax was not natural at all but recombinant… as is aids, meaning it was man made, and there are only 2-3 labs in the world, all associated with US intelligence, able to produce this particular anthrax strain. The BioPort Corporation are the sole company in the United States licensed to manufacture and sell the Anthrax vaccine. Two investors to note are the Carlyle Group, with the Bush and Bin Laden families.
August 2001: The Israeli Mossad gives the CIA a list of 19 terrorists living in the US and say that they appear to be planning to carry out an attack in the near future.
NOTE: According to Senator Bob Graham, who was chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee from June 2001 through the buildup to the Iraq war, “Two of the September 11, 2001, hijackers had a support network in the United States that included agents of the Saudi government, and the Bush administration and FBI blocked a congressional investigation into that relationship,” as reported by the Miami Herald. And in Graham’s book, Intelligence Matters, he makes clear that some details of that financial support from Saudi Arabia were in the 27 pages of the congressional inquiry’s final report that were blocked from release by the administration, despite the pleas of leaders of both parties on the House and Senate intelligence committees.” In March 2012 as part of a lawsuit by 9/11 victims families Graham and another former U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey said in affidavits that they were certain there were direct links between the Saudi government and the attacks. There have also been allegations that the hijackers’ preparations may have been given assistance by U.S. intelligence. According to CBS News, “two of the Sept. 11 hijackers who lived in San Diego in 2000 rented a room from a man who reportedly worked as an undercover FBI informant… the FBI informant prayed with them and even helped one open a bank account.” Doubts have been raised about the speed with which the hijackers were identified, leading to suggestions that the FBI already had the names of the hijackers in advance. In his book Against All Enemies, Richard Clarke said that at 9:59 am on September 11, which is the time when WTC2 collapsed and 8 minutes before NORAD even knew Flight 93 had been hijacked, the FBI already had a list of the 19 alleged hijackers. A former high-level intelligence official said that “Whatever trail was left was left deliberately—for the F.B.I. to chase.
September 18, 2001: The Times reported that investigations were under way into the unusually large numbers of shares in insurance companies and airlines sold off before the attack, in the UK, Italy, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, France and the US. News accounts in the weeks that followed reported a notable pattern of trading in the options of United and American Airlines as well as Morgan Stanley and other market activity. An article published in The Journal of Business in 2006 provides statistical evidence of unusual put option market activity days before 9/11: Examination of the option trading leading up to September 11 reveals that there was an unusually high level of put buying. This finding is consistent with informed investors having traded options before the attacks. In a statement to the 9/11 Commission in 2003, Mindy Kleinberg, of the 9/11 Family Steering Committee, said: Never before on the Chicago Exchange were such large amounts of United and American Airlines options traded. These investors netted a profit of at least $5 million after the September 11 attacks. Interestingly, the names of the investors remain undisclosed and the $5 million remains unclaimed in the Chicago Exchange account.
NOTE: Regarding these trades, the 9/11 Commission found no malfeasance: A single U.S.-based institutional investor purchased 95% of the UAL puts on September 6 as part of a trading strategy that also included buying 115,000 shares of American on September 10… much of the seemingly suspicious trading in American on September 10 was traced to a specific U.S.-based options trading newsletter, faxed to its subscribers on Sunday, September 9, that recommended these trades.
September 20, 2001: Bush condemned Osama bin Laden and his organization Al-Qaeda, and issued an ultimatum to the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, where bin Laden was operating, to “hand over” the terrorists, or … share in their fate”. Efforts to kill or capture al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden failed as he escaped a battle in December 2001 in the mountainous region of Tora Bora, which the Bush Administration later acknowledged to have resulted from a failure to commit enough U.S. ground troops
October 2001: Afghanistan Opium – as reported by Global Research: Immediately following the October 2001 invasion, opium markets were restored…By early 2002, the opium price (in dollars/kg) was almost 10 times higher than in 2000. In 2001, under the Taliban opiate production stood at 185 tons, increasing to 3400 tons in 2002 under the US sponsored puppet regime. According to a 2013 report from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, 2013 saw opium production surge to record highs: The harvest this May resulted in 5,500 metric tons of opium, 49 percent higher than last year and more than the combined output of the rest of the world. Approximately 40,000 foreign troops help manage security in Afghanistan, principally of 32,000 regular soldiers from 37 North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces: the International Security Assistance Force. 8,000 US and other special operations forces make up the balance. 5500 Tons = 4989516 Kilograms / In Operation Black Gold Rush, authorities took 17 kilograms of black-tar heroin, said to have a street value of more than $3 million. / $3m divided by 17 kilograms = $176,470 per kilogram / 4989516 Kilograms x $176,470 per kilogram = $880,499,900,000 per year
October 26, 2001: The USA PATRIOT Act is an Act of Congress that was signed into law by Bush. On May 26, 2011, Obama signed the PATRIOT Sunsets Extension Act of 2011, a four-year extension of three key provisions in the USA PATRIOT Act: roving wiretaps, searches of business records (the “library records provision”), and conducting surveillance of “lone wolves”—individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups. Opponents of the law have criticized its authorization of indefinite detentions of immigrants; the permission given law enforcement officers to search a home or business without the owner’s or the occupant’s consent or knowledge; the expanded use of National Security Letters, which allows the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to search telephone, e-mail, and financial records without a court order; and the expanded access of law enforcement agencies to business records, including library and financial records.
November 2001: General Wesley Clark – So I came back to see him a few weeks later, and by that time we were bombing in Afghanistan. I said, “Are we still going to war with Iraq?” And he said, “Oh, it’s worse than that.” He reached over on his desk. He picked up a piece of paper. And he said, “I just got this down from upstairs” — meaning the Secretary of Defense’s office — “today.” And he said, “This is a memo that describes how we’re going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran.”
NOTE: In 1982, Oded Yinon submitted a plan that was repackaged as Netanyahu’s “Clean Break” document in 1996; the plan was to have the US military smash Israel’s enemies into pieces. Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan and Somalia have all been massively damaged or destroyed.
December 2001: Pentagon reported that the Taliban had been defeated.
NOTE: the Iraq War lasted 10 more years.
December 4, 2001: Bush said, “Well, Jordan, you’re not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my chief of staff, Andy Card — actually I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower — the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, “There’s one terrible pilot.” And I said, “It must have been a horrible accident. But I was whisked off there — I didn’t have much time to think about it, and I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief who was sitting over here walked in and said, “A second plane has hit the tower. America’s under attack.”
NOTE: There is a problem with the above statement. There was no live video coverage of the first plane hitting the tower. Video of the first plane hitting the tower did not surface until after the second plane had hit World Trade Center 2.
January 29, 2002: State of the Union Address, Bush asserted that an “axis of evil” consisting of North Korea, Iran, and Iraq was “arming to threaten the peace of the world” and “posed a grave and growing danger”.
2002: US Senate Joint Inquiry Report on 9/11 – HR428.org provides a broad-based overview of a resolution submitted on Dec. 13, 2013 with the purpose of declassifying and releasing 28 pages from the “Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001″. Rep. Thomas Massie: “I went into the soundproof, secret room here in Congress and read those 28 pages. And it was a really disturbing event for me to read those. I had to stop every two or three pages and rearrange my perception of history. And it’s that fundamental — those 28 pages….It certainly changes your view of the Middle East…We need to declassify those 28 pages….There is nothing in there that would affect our national security. Some of it may be embarrassing; that is why I believe those 28 pages have been withheld…The American people deserve to know what happened and what led up to 9/11 so that we can prevent the next one.”
2002-2003: the CIA considered certain enhanced interrogation techniques, such as waterboarding, to be legal based on a secret Justice Department legal opinion arguing that terror detainees were not protected by the Geneva Conventions’ ban on torture and Vice President Cheney said enhanced interrogation including waterboarding was not torture or illegal.
November 2002: Hans Blix and Mohamed ElBaradei led UN weapons inspectors in Iraq, but were advised by the U.S. to depart the country four days prior to the U.S. invasion, despite their requests for more time to complete their tasks
May 30, 2006: Henry Paulson was nominated by U.S. President George W. Bush to succeed John Snow as the Treasury Secretary. On June 28, 2006, he was confirmed by the United States Senate to serve in the position. Henry Merritt “Hank” Paulson, Jr. (born March 28, 1946) is an American banker who served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1974. Before becoming Treasury Secretary, he was required to liquidate all of his stock holdings in Goldman Sachs, valued at over $600 million in 2006, in order to comply with conflict-of-interest regulations.
NOTE: Paulson pushed through legislation authorizing the Treasury to use $700 billion to stabilize the financial system. Working with Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, he influenced the decision to create a credit facility of US$85 billion to American International Group. The Goldman Sachs benefit from the AIG bailout was recently estimated as US$12.9 billion and GS was the largest recipient of the public funds from AIG. Creating the collateralized debt obligations (CDO’s) forming the basis of the current crisis was an active part of Goldman Sach’s business during Paulson’s tenure as CEO. In the documentary film Inside Job, Paulson is cited as one of the persons responsible for the Economic Meltdown of 2008 and named in Time Magazine as one of the “25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis”.
2004: CIA released the so-called Duelfer report, acknowledging that the administration’s pre-invasion assertions about Hussein hiding WMD stockpiles were “almost all wrong.”
March 20, 2003: More than 20 nations (most notably the United Kingdom), designated the “coalition of the willing” joined the United States in invading Iraq. The Iraqi military was quickly defeated.
May 1, 2003: Bush delivers “Mission Accomplished” speech, declaring the end of major combat operations in Iraq.
July 19, 2006: Bush used his veto power for the first time in his presidency to veto the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act.
October 17, 2006: Bush signed into law the Military Commissions Act of 2006, a law enacted in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, 548 U.S. 557 (2006), which allows the U.S. government to prosecute unlawful enemy combatants by military commission rather than a standard trial. The law also denies them access to habeas corpus and bars the torture of detainees, but allows the president to determine what constitutes torture.
2007: the Pew Global Attitudes Project reported that during the Bush presidency, attitudes towards the United States, and towards Americans, became less favorable around the world.
May 1, 2007: Bush used his second-ever veto to reject a bill setting a deadline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq
December 2007: the United States entered the longest post–World War II recession, which included a housing market correction, a subprime mortgage crisis, soaring oil prices, and a declining dollar value. In February, 63,000 jobs were lost, a five-year record. Many economists and world governments determined that the situation became the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.
March 8, 2008: Bush vetoed H.R. 2082, a bill that would have expanded congressional oversight over the intelligence community and banned the use of waterboarding as well as other forms of interrogation not permitted under the United States Army Field Manual on Human Intelligence Collector Operations.
November 2008: over 500,000 jobs were lost, which marked the largest loss of jobs in the United States in 34 years. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that in the last four months of 2008, 1.9 million jobs were lost. By the end of 2008, the U.S. had lost a total of 2.6 million jobs.
August 15, 2008: Bush said of Russia’s invasion of the country of Georgia: “Bullying and intimidation are not acceptable ways to conduct foreign policy in the 21st century.”
Bush’s disapproval ratings reached the highest ever recorded for any president in the 70-year history of the Gallup poll. Commenting on his low poll numbers and accusations of being “the worst president,” Bush would say, “I make decisions on what I think is right for the United States based upon principles. I frankly don’t give a damn about the polls.”
September 19, 2010: former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that Bush offered to accept 100,000 Palestinian refugees as American citizens if a permanent settlement had been reached between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
February 15, 2011: he was awarded the Medal of Freedom—the highest civilian honor in the United States—by President Barack Obama.
NOTE: According to a story at The Blaze, a high-level drug cartel operative in federal custody is alleging that the Obama Administration, and the Bush Administration before it, made an agreement with Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel to provide weapons through what became the Fast and Furious program. Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla, the Sinaloa Cartel’s logistics coordinator, who was extradited to Chicago last year, claims that Fast and Furious was part of an administration plan to provide the Sinaloa Cartel with weapons in exchange for information the DEA, ICE and other federal agencies would then use to take down rival cartels. A motion for discovery by Zambada-Niebla’s attorney states, in part, “the Sinaloa Cartel under the leadership of defendant’s father, Ismael Zambada-Niebla and ‘Chapo’ Guzman, were given carte blanche to continue to smuggle tons of illicit drugs into Chicago and the rest of the United States and were also protected by the United States government from arrest and prosecution in return for providing information against rival cartels which helped Mexican and United States authorities capture or kill thousands of rival cartel members.”
John Ellis Bush (Jeb)
February 11, 1953: John Ellis Bush (Jeb) served as the 43rd Governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007. He is the second son of former President George H. W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush, and is the younger brother of former President George W. Bush. Jeb Bush is the only Republican to serve two full four-year terms as Governor of Florida. At the age of 17, he taught English as a second language in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, as part of Phillips Academy’s student exchange program. While in Mexico, he met his future wife, Columba Garnica Gallo.
November 1977: Jeb Bush was sent to the Venezuelan capital of Caracas to open a new operation for the bank, where he served as branch manager and vice president.
1980: “I wasn’t motivated for politics, I wasn’t motivated because of ideology or anything. My dad’s the greatest man I’ve ever met or will meet; I can predict that fairly confidently. It was payback time, simple as that”.
1983: Jeb Bush explained his move from Houston to Miami: “On the personal side, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law were already living here”, and on the professional side, “I want to be very wealthy, and I’ll be glad to tell you when I’ve accomplished that goal.”
1985: In the July 28 issue of From The Wilderness I reported on recent statements made in Los Angeles by author Terry Reed concerning his participation in a 1985 DEA drug sting with legendary drug smuggler Barry Seal. In that DEA operation, set up after receiving information from an FBI informant placed close to the highest levels of the Medellin cartel, George W. and Jeb Bush were videotaped at Tamiami airport outside of Miami. They arrived on the Bush family King Air from Texas, presumably piloted by George W., to pick up two kilos of cocaine which was delivered for the Bush’s by Seal, after flying from the Intermountain Regional airport located at Mena, Arkansas. Reed was the unwitting co-pilot. At the time the sting was arranged, the “buyers” of the cocaine were unknown.
According to the Houston Chronicle and the Ledger (Lakeland, Florida), Jeb Bush (brother of George W) –before becoming Governor of the Sunshine State– was a close friend of Raul Salinas de Gortiari, and brother of former President of Mexico Carlos Salinas. Raul –who was a leading member of the Mexican Drug Cartel– is now serving a 27 year jail term for having murdered a political opponent: “There has also been a great deal of speculation in Mexico about the exact nature of Raul Salinas’ close friendship with former President George Bush’s son, Jeb. It is well known here that for many years the two families spent vacations together — the Salinases at Jeb Bush’s home in Miami, the Bushes at Raul’s ranch, Las Mendocinas, under the volcano in Puebla. There are many in Mexico who believe that the relationship became a back channel for delicate and crucial negotiations between the two governments, leading up to President Bush’s sponsorship of NAFTA.” (Houston Chronicle, 9 March 1995)
1998: Jeb Bush defeated his Democratic opponent, Lieutenant Governor Buddy MacKay, by over 418,000 votes (2,191,105; 55.3% to 1,773,054; 44.7%) to become Governor of Florida. While Governor, Jeb Bush reduced taxes by $19 billion, reduced the size of state government by 6.6 percent, vetoed $2 billion in new spending, and presided over Florida receiving the highest possible bond rating.
2000: Jeb Bush was governor when his brother George W. Bush won an intensely fought election recount in Florida to become President.
August 2007: Bush joined investment bank, Lehman Brothers, as an adviser in its private equity group. On September 15, 2008, the firm filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection following the massive exodus of most of its clients, drastic losses in its stock, and devaluation of its assets by credit rating agencies. Lehman’s bankruptcy filing is the largest in US history, and is thought to have played a major role in the unfolding of the late-2000s global financial crisis.
April 16, 2013: Bush said he is not considering a run now, and that he had not yet started a decision making process.
2014: Bush received more than $2 million from his work for Tenet, a company that expects to receive $100 million in new earnings in 2014 because of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and that “aggressively encouraged Americans to sign up for insurance under the program….”

Neil Mallon Pierce Bush
January 22, 1955: Neil Mallon Pierce Bush is an American businessman and investor. He is the fourth of six children of former President George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush (née Pierce). His five siblings are George W. Bush, the former President of the United States; Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida; Robin Bush, who died of leukemia in 1953 at the age of four; Marvin; and Dorothy.
1980s: George W Bush’s younger brother Neil was involved in the Savings and Loan scam. According to the Los Angeles Times, other members of the Bush family were also involved: “As a director of the defunct Silverado Savings & Loan in Denver, Neil Bush was found by federal regulators to have engaged in a conflict of interest by participating in the approval of loans totaling $132 million from the S&L to his own business partners.
1980s: Neil Bush was a member of the board of directors of Denver-based Silverado Savings and Loan during the 1980s’ larger savings and loan crisis. As his father, George H.W. Bush, was Vice President of the United States, his role in Silverado’s failure was a focal point of publicity. According to a piece in Salon, Silverado’s collapse cost taxpayers $1.3 billion. The US Office of Thrift Supervision investigated Silverado’s failure and determined that Bush had engaged in numerous “breaches of his fiduciary duties involving multiple conflicts of interest.” Although Bush was not indicted on criminal charges, a civil action was brought against him and the other Silverado directors by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; it was eventually settled out of court, with Bush paying $50,000 as part of the settlement.
NOTE: possible reasons Bush Sr. started the first Gulf War was to divert attention away from he and his son’s involvement in the savings and loan scandal.
July 1999: Bush made at least $798,000 on three stock trades in a single day of a company where he had been employed as a consultant. The company, Kopin Corporation of Taunton, Massachusetts, announced on the same day good news about a new Asian client that sent its stock value soaring. Bush stated that he had no inside knowledge and that his financial advisor had recommended the trades. He said, “any increase in the price of the stock on that day was purely coincidental, meaning that I did not have any improper information.”
2002: Bush signed a consulting contract that paid $2 million in stock over five years to work for Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp., a firm backed by Jiang Mianheng, the son of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin
Marvin Pierce Bush
October 22, 1956: Marvin Pierce Bush is the youngest son of U.S. President George H. W. Bush and Barbara Pierce, and brother of President George W. Bush, John (Jeb), Neil and Dorothy.
1999-2000: Marvin P. Bush was a principal in a company called Stratesec, formerly called Securacom, that provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport. Marvin Bush served on the board of directors from 1993- 2000. He was said to have left the company in June 2000. After Marvin Bush left Securicom in 2000, he became a director of HCC Insurance Holdings Inc. (until 2002), which was one of the companies insuring the World Trade Center.
Wirt Walker III was the Stratesec’s CEO from 1999 to January of 2002, he is alledged to be a relative of the Bush’s. The company was backed by KuwAm, a Kuwaiti-American investment firm on whose board Marvin Burns also served. According to its CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center “up to the day the buildings fell down.”
At IPO in 1997, Securacom listed among its clients Washington Dulles International Airport, Hewlett-Packard, EDS, United Airlines, Gillette, MCI, the World Trade Center, and other facilities including hospitals, prisons, corporations, utilities, universities.
The company acquired an $8.3 million World Trade Center contract in October 1996, according to SEC filings. The company also provided security for Dulles International Airport and United Airlines between 1995 and 2001. In the company’s own words, Stratesec has “an open-ended contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) and a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the agency that allows the government to purchase materials and services from the Company without having to go through a full competition.” It promotes its services to clients such as the armed services and Department of Justice for projects that “often require state-of-the-art security solutions for classified or high-risk government sites.”
McDaniel, the CEO of the company since January 2002, declines on security grounds to give specific details about work the company did at the World Trade Center. According to McDaniel, the contract was ongoing (a “completion contract”), and “not quite completed when the Center went down.” Asked if FBI or other agents had questioned anyone at Stratesec about the company’s security work in connection with the 9/11 attack, CEO Barry McDaniel said no.
September 6, 2001: The World Trade Center was destroyed just days after a heightened security alert was lifted at the landmark 110-story towers, security personnel said. Daria Coard, 37, a guard at Tower One, said the security detail had been working 12-hour shifts for the past two weeks because of numerous phone threats. But on September 6, bomb-sniffing dogs were abruptly removed.
September 8-9, 2001: there was a ‘power down’ condition in WTC tower 2, the south tower. This power down condition meant there was no electrical supply for approx 36 hrs from floor 50 up… “Of course without power there were no security cameras, no security locks on doors and many, many ‘engineers’ coming in and out of the tower.”
September 11, 2001: ‘If they had continued on and exited the building, all of their lives would have been spared. As it was, that’s not the way it happened. “As soon as we reached the concourse level, the security guard stopped us and said, ‘Where are you going?’ Stanley Praimnath explained about seeing the fire in Tower One. According to Stanley, the guard said, “Oh, that was just an accident. Two World Trade is secured. Go back to your office.”
William Jefferson Clinton
August 19, 1946: William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III) is an American politician who served from 1993 to 2001 as the 42nd President of the United States. Inaugurated at age 46, he was the third-youngest president. Before becoming president, he was the Governor of Arkansas for five terms, serving from 1979 to 1981 and from 1983 to 1992. He was also the state’s Attorney General from 1977 to 1979. He is married to Hillary Rodham Clinton, who served as United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013 and who was a Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009. Both Clintons earned law degrees from Yale Law School, where they met and began dating.
Bill Clinton, like George Bush, is a long-time CIA asset. Clinton, according to the book, Partners In Power, was recruited by CIA way back when he was a student at Oxford in the late 1960s. Secret Bush-Clinton connections are unearthed in such books as Compromised and Boy Clinton.
Clinton was a member of the Order of DeMolay, a youth group affiliated with Freemasonry, but he never became a Freemason. He won a Rhodes Scholarship to University College, Oxford where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics, though because he had switched programs and had left early for Yale University, he did not receive a degree there.
December 2, 1969: Clinton applied to Yale Law School
1969-1970: Clinton took a 40 day trip to Scandinavia, Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia. Clinton toured Moscow, where he had been preceded by his roommate Strobe Talbott. Talbott was then translating the memoirs of former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev, which had been leaked to him by Victor Louis, a KGB disinformation agent and talent spotter. Clinton and Talbott’s other roommate Frank Aller was doing similar work on the unpublished notes of Edgar Snow, an academic associate of Lattimore.
Mena is a city in Polk County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 5,637 as of 2000 census. Mena is included in the Ark-La-Tex socio-economic region. It is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest.
1980s: Drug smuggler Barry Seal moved his operations to the Mena Intermountain Municipal Airport, where he owned and operated many planes and helicopters, as well as advanced radar equipment. Mena Intermountain Municipal Airport was a CIA drop point in large scale cocaine trafficking, beginning in the latter part of the 1980s. Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Governor Jeb Bush and Saline County prosecutor Dan Harmon (who was convicted of numerous felonies including drug and racketeering charges in 1997) were involved with Adler Berriman (Barry) Seal, in flying covert flights for the CIA and the Medellín Cartel.
“The connections piled up quickly. Contra planes flew north to the U.S., loaded with cocaine, then returned laden with cash. All under the protective umbrella of the United States Government. My informants were perfectly placed: one worked with the Contra pilots at their base, while another moved easily among the Salvadoran military officials who protected the resupply operation. They fed me the names of Contra pilots. Again and again, those names showed up in the DEA database as documented drug traffickers. “When I pursued the case, my superiors quietly and firmly advised me to move on to other investigations.” – Former DEA Agent Celerino Castillo, Powder Burns
Reporter Gary Webb of the San Jose Mercury in 2014 Documentary Movie ” Kill the Messenger”, connected the dots to the entire CIA operation of drug trafficking for financing gun purchases for a democratic revolution in Latin America. Gary was subsequently shot twice in the head in 1998. Mena, Arkansas, during Bill Clinton’s term as Governor of Arkansas, was a CIA airport Drop Location in Gary Webb’s research. Gary Webb’s allegations are widely and independently corroborated regarding CIA drug traffic. During the Clinton presidential administration (1993-2001), there were accusations (most notably in the controversial film ” Clinton Chronicles) that Clinton, during his time as governor of Arkansas, and other high-ranking state officials were involved in cocaine importation, money laundering, and drug use centered upon the airport in Mena.
August 31, 1955 – December 10, 2004: Gary Stephen Webb was an American investigative reporter best known for his 1996 Dark Alliance series of articles (about CIA involvement in cocaine trafficking into the US) written for the San Jose Mercury News and later published as a book. In the three-part series, Webb investigated Nicaraguans linked to the CIA-backed Contras who had smuggled cocaine into the U.S. Their smuggled cocaine was distributed as crack cocaine in Los Angeles, with the profits funneled back to the Contras. Webb also alleged that this influx of Nicaraguan-supplied cocaine sparked, and significantly fueled, the widespread crack cocaine epidemic that swept through many U.S. cities during the 1980s. According to Webb, the CIA was aware of the cocaine transactions and the large shipments of drugs into the U.S. by Contra personnel. Webb charged that the Reagan administration shielded inner-city drug dealers from prosecution in order to raise money for the Contras, especially after Congress passed the Boland Amendment, which prohibited direct Contra funding.
August 1996: the San Jose Mercury News published Webb’s “Dark Alliance”, a 20,000 word, three-part investigative series which alleged that Nicaraguan drug traffickers had sold and distributed crack cocaine in Los Angeles during the 1980s, and that drug profits were used to fund the CIA-supported Nicaraguan Contras. Webb never asserted that the CIA directly aided drug dealers to raise money for the Contras, but he did document that the CIA was aware of the cocaine transactions and the large shipments of cocaine into the U.S. by the Contra personnel. Per Webb’s request, all the documents he used to draw his conclusions were uploaded to the Mercury’s website, Mercury Center, for all readers to see. Webb feared that, otherwise, he would be discredited by the government amidst claims of lack of evidence.
December 10, 2004: Gary Webb was found dead from two gunshot wounds to the head. Sacramento County coroner Robert Lyons ruled that it was suicide, noting that a suicide note was found at the scene.

1993: the Clinton administration asks for the resignation of all 93 U.S. attorneys
July 20, 1993: Clinton fired FBI Director William S. Sessions –the first time a director of the agency had ever been dismissed.
It has been written that the firing was to cover-up the Vince Foster murder. Vincent Walker “Vince” Foster, Jr. (January 15, 1945 – July 20, 1993) was a Deputy White House Counsel during the first few months of President Bill Clinton’s administration. Before that he was a partner at Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas, and a colleague and friend of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Foster was found dead in Fort Marcy Park, a federal park in Virginia. Sessions was fired so that the Vincent Foster investigation would be taken over by city police; and to make it easier to cover up Foster’s murder and to make it appear to be a suicide.
October 1993: Bill Clinton ordered the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Somalia after eighteen U.S. soldiers were killed in Mogadishu, the country’s capital.
1998: he was impeached for perjury before a grand jury and obstruction of justice during a lawsuit against him, both related to a scandal involving a White House intern. He was acquitted by the U.S. Senate and served his complete term of office.
1998-2000: The Congressional Budget Office reported a budget surplus, the last three years of Clinton’s presidency.
August 25, 1940 – March 8, 1998: James B. “Jim” McDougal, a native of White County, Arkansas, and his wife, Susan McDougal (the former Susan Carol Henley), were financial partners with Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton in the real estate venture that led to the Whitewater political scandal of the 1990s. Starting in 1982, McDougal operated Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan. On April 14, 1997, James McDougal was convicted of eighteen felony counts of fraud and conspiracy charges. The counts had to do with bad loans made by Madison in the late 1980s. As his savings and loan was federally-insured, the $68 million was paid by taxpayers. McDougal died of a heart attack at the Federal Correctional Facility in Fort Worth, Texas, aged 57.

1993: Hillary Clinton described meeting the leader of the Fellowship: “Doug Coe, the longtime National Prayer Breakfast organizer, is a unique presence in Washington: a genuinely loving spiritual mentor and guide to anyone, regardless of party or faith, who wants to deepen his or her relationship to God.”
“There exists in our world today a powerful and dangerous secret cult. This cult is patronized and protected by the highest level government officials in the world. Its membership is composed of those in the power centers of government, industry, commerce, finance, and labor. It manipulates individuals in areas of important public influence – including the academic world and the mass media. The Secret Cult is a global fraternity of a political aristocracy whose purpose is to further the political policies of persons or agencies unknown. It acts covertly and illegally.” Victor Marchetti, The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence
NOTE: If you have ever wondered why the U.S. federal government would train and finance Central American death squads; or why, while waging the so-called “war on drugs,” the U.S. federal government would operate cocaine and heroin smuggling operations around the world, bringing in tons of drugs to places like Mena, Arkansas; or why the U.S. federal government would “spread democracy” throughout the world by assassinating democratically elected politicians – both at home and abroad – replacing them with right-wing dictators and training their secret police in the latest techniques of torture, terrorism, and mind control; or why the U.S. federal government would conduct deadly medical and radiation experiments on unsuspecting citizens – including pregnant women, the mentally impaired, and children . . . you now have the answer.
